Produced by SageScape LLC, Tech Policy Summit is the only executive conference of its kind that brings together prominent leaders from the private and public sectors to examine critical policy issues impacting technology innovation and adoption in the United States and beyond.
Registration is now open for the 3rd annual Tech Policy Summit, which will be held March 23-25, 2009 at the San Mateo Marriott hotel in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Tech Policy Summit's mission is to bridge the gaps that sometimes exist -- even between like-minded organizations with common goals -- and to encourage more dialog so that there is greater accord between what happens in D.C. and what matters in Silicon Valley.
The nonpartisan gathering provides an independent, balanced forum for learning and networking among an exclusive group of industry insiders, government officials, nonprofit leaders and academic experts who may have different perspectives but who share a common goal of enabling innovation.

The inaugural Regional Broadband Innovation (RBI) Summit & Expo will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Silicon Valley.
Through roundtable discussions, workshops, exhibits and networking activities, this daylong event will assist community and business leaders by highlighting broadband's many applications and by offering best practices for improving Internet access and usage.
RBI Summit will also address the call for a comprehensive, national broadband strategy, and what such a plan would mean for businesses and consumers in California.
Broadband has the potential not only to drive economic growth and job creation but to improve the delivery of education, healthcare, public safety and other vital services as well. Our goal is for every participant to leave RBI Summit inspired to take action.
Rey Ramsey, cofounder and CEO of One Economy, will be one of the Keynote Speakers at RBI Summit, and other speakers will be announced soon. Learn more about the schedule and sponsorship opportunities.
Tickets for the RBI Summit & Expo are $195 per person. However, to ensure that everyone with an interest in being part of this landmark event is able to join us, registration will be free of charge for attendees from government agencies, schools/universities and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Other individuals who require scholarship are encouraged to contact us for more info.
You must sign up online in advance to guarantee your spot because space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
One of the policy priorities that will be addressed at the 3rd annual Tech Policy Summit conference next March is the role of government in accelerating cleantech innovation and, while working on the 2009 Summit agenda, it quickly became clear to us that we wanted to do even more to delve into all that is happening in green technology.
That is why we are excited to introduce TPS: Eco-Innovation, a new tech policy event taking place on April 22, 2009 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Silicon Valley.
TPS: Eco-Innovation will offer a comprehensive yet focused look at policies and regulations impacting green technology initiatives in areas like renewable electricity, smart grid infrastructure, energy efficiency and electronic recycling and e-waste. Not so coincidentally, April 22nd happens to be Earth Day, making it an ideal opportunity to celebrate tech's contribution to environmental efforts as well.
Through a series of Innovation Workshops and roundtable discussions, participants at TPS: Eco-Innovation will tackle tough, pressing questions:
-
Faced with significant economic challenges and a growing list of priorities, how will the Obama Administration and the next Congress act on their cleantech innovation agendas?
-
What are state and local governments doing to promote eco-innovation?
-
Where are the hurdles to innovation?
-
What are the solutions that will help cleantech reach a tipping point of mass adoption?
TPS: Eco-Innovation is about much more than marketing-driven efforts to "go green" (though those programs are part of the larger conversation). It is a deep dive into the specific ways in which government policies and programs affect cleantech development and market adoption.
Register today to secure your spot at what promises to be an informative and insightful gathering of cleantech business and policy leaders. You can also sign up for an All-Access Pass to attend sessions at the new Regional Broadband Innovation (RBI) Summit & Expo, which is being co-located with TPS: Eco-Innovation.
